Apple CEO Cook expressed deep concerns about the current immigration policy of the United States to employees, and will continue to put pressure on lawmakers to address the issue. Cook told employees at a company-wide meeting on Thursday: "I have heard colleagues say they feel insecure even when they go outside. No one should feel this way, absolutely not." The chief executive also said that immigration is particularly important to Apple, as "team members in various parts of the United States hold some type of visa". He said, "In my memory, it is precisely because we have attracted top talent from around the world that Apple has become a smarter, more visionary, and more innovative company. I will continue to lobby lawmakers on this issue, I promise you all that."
