Involving automobiles, gold, etc., by the year 2025, the focus of consumer complaints in the country will be concentrated in these areas.
The China Consumers Association announced on February 5th that by 2025, the main areas of consumer complaints in the country will be focused on automobiles, home decoration, tourism, gold, and online skills training. With the continuous changes in the structure of automotive consumption, the traditional market for fuel vehicles is gradually adjusting. Coupled with the rapid development of online pre-sale models for new energy vehicles, disputes in the automotive consumption field are presenting new characteristics.
Firstly, the closure of 4S dealerships leads to unfulfilled after-sales services and other commitments. Some authorized 4S dealerships for fuel vehicle brands have gone out of business or closed due to poor management, resulting in consumers being unable to continue receiving the replacement subsidies, maintenance packages, extended warranty services, and other benefits they have already paid for during the car purchasing process.
Secondly, disputes arise from the lack of transparency in information regarding the delivery period for new energy vehicles pre-ordered online. Consumers have reported that the delivery date shown on the app for a certain new energy vehicle brand significantly differs from the actual delivery time, leading to delayed deliveries and consumers being unable to enjoy subsidies. When consumers request a refund of their deposits, they are often denied.
Lastly, issues of false advertising and consumer deception are becoming more concentrated in these fields.
