The 500-kilovolt interconnection project between China and Laos' power transmission lines has been connected today, capable of transmitting 30 billion clean energy kilowatt-hours per year.
This morning, the 500 kV interconnection project between China and Laos officially connected the transmission lines across the border, marking a significant milestone in this major project. Once the project is completed this year, the two countries' bi-directional power exchange capacity is expected to reach 1.5 million kilowatts, with the ability to transmit 3 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually. When Laos has excess electricity, they can send clean energy to China; and during peak electricity demand in Laos, clean power from China can also be promptly supplied, allowing for cross-border, large-scale optimization of clean energy allocation.
