Grain futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange fell overnight, while the US dollar index edged higher this morning. Analysts believe that there is limited news that could impact the market, as crops in Argentina and Brazil have received sufficient moisture, easing concerns about crop health. With Brazil currently harvesting soybeans, the global export market is expected to provide ample supply for buyers. Doug Bergman of RCM Alternatives stated in a report, "The market believes that US and global supplies are sufficient, which has limited buying interest; at the same time, current price levels are unsustainable for producers in the long term, which has also limited selling interest." Corn futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange fell 0.5% in pre-market trading, soybean futures fell 0.2%, and wheat futures fell 0.7%.
