Anthropic advertised for the first time during the "Super Bowl."
Claude's startup company Anthropic has developed its first advertisement during the "Super Bowl" competition, targeting its competitor OpenAI. This indicates that the marketing battle surrounding AI chatbots is currently intensifying. According to estimates from iSpot and Sensor Tower, last year, technology companies including Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Perplexity spent a total of $3.336 billion on broadcast television advertising for their AI products in the United States, a 43% increase compared to the previous year. Digital advertising spending more than doubled, reaching $4.26 billion. This year, for many companies, the cost of a 30-second "Super Bowl" advertisement slot exceeds $8 million. This does not include the tens of millions of dollars that brands typically invest in producing advertisements.
