Alphabet plans to expand massively in India.

Google's parent company Alphabet is planning to significantly expand its business in India, possibly building millions of square feet of office space in Bangalore, India's tech hub. The company has already leased an office building in the Alembic City development project in the city's Whitefield tech corridor, and has purchased options for two additional office buildings, totaling . The first tower is expected to open to employees in the coming months, with construction of the remaining two towers to be completed next year. If Alphabet occupies all the space, the complex could accommodate up to an additional 20,000 employees, effectively doubling the company's footprint in India. Alphabet currently has approximately 14,000 employees in India, with a total global workforce of about 190,000 people.
