U.S. Interior Secretary: The United States will announce a key mineral trade agreement.

On the eve of a ministerial-level event at the US State Department, US Interior Secretary Doug Bergum said that the United States plans to announce as many as 11 bilateral trade agreements this week. Bergum said at an event hosted by the International Strategic Studies Center on Tuesday, that these agreements could provide "tariff-free trade" for key minerals and rare earth elements. These agreements could also be used to establish price floors for relevant commodities.
