Guojian Group: Specialized testing instruments adapted for space scenarios can be upgraded to provide carbon footprint calculation services for space photovoltaics.
Journalists learned from the National Photovoltaic Center of the Country Inspection Group that as an enterprise in the field of photovoltaic testing and certification, the Country Inspection Group can provide guidance for the transition of space photovoltaics from the laboratory to commercialization. Currently, space photovoltaics are still in the early stages of development.
The standard EN 16603-20-08:2023 "Aerospace Engineering - Photovoltaic Components and Devices" stipulates the general requirements, identification, and acceptance testing procedures for photovoltaic components, solar cells, glass cover plates, diodes, etc. for space applications from materials to assemblies. The Country Inspection Group can conduct relevant tests based on EN 16603-20-08:2023.
At the same time, in response to the extreme environmental testing requirements of space photovoltaics, the company's research and development team can develop specialized testing instruments for space scenarios based on existing equipment development experience, such as conducting mechanical performance, electrical performance, and weather resistance performance research and development for components such as folding solar wings. Additionally, in the future, the company can provide carbon footprint accounting services for the entire lifecycle of space photovoltaics.
