On February 1, 2026, the Rainbow YH-1000S, the world's first hybrid-powered unmanned transport aircraft developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation Eleventh Academy, successfully made its maiden flight in Liangping, Chongqing. Following the successful maiden flight of the Rainbow YH-1000 unmanned transport aircraft in May 2025, this new model is another iteration aimed at meeting the rapid demands of global market customers. The maiden flight featured a high-power hybrid powertrain jointly developed with a leading new energy vehicle company, significantly reducing takeoff and landing distances, increasing payload and range, and successfully completing aerial flight performance verification. This marks an important innovation exploration in the integration of core technologies between the domestic unmanned aircraft and automotive industries, greatly reducing research and development costs through deep sharing of supply chain resources and modular production. It serves as a model for jointly targeting the new track of low-altitude economic unmanned logistics, accelerating the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation.
