OpenAI launches Codex application.

OpenAI announced the launch of Codex, a powerful command center for developing intelligent agents. The application is now available on macOS, with the Windows version coming soon. OpenAI stated that limited-time benefits include free access to Codex for ChatGPT Free and Go Subscribers; as well as doubling the call rate limits for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education users. These benefits cover Codex, command line tools, IDE extensions, and cloud platforms. With Codex, users can easily: handle multiple tasks simultaneously; isolate modifications to agents through work trees; create and use skills by packaging tools and rules into reusable functional modules; set up automation processes to delegate repetitive tasks to Codex through scheduled workflows.
