Australian job advertisements increase at the fastest pace in nearly four years.

The Australian job market remains strong, with recruitment advertisements in January posting the fastest monthly growth in nearly four years. According to a survey by ANZ Bank and job portal Indeed, after December's data was revised down by 0.8%, recruitment ads increased by 4.4% month-on-month in January. The trend series rose by 1.3% month-on-month.The growth in recruitment ads has partially reversed the gradual slowdown that occurred in the second half of 2025, bringing the series back to roughly the same level as August.
