From January to November 2025, the procuratorial organs prosecuted more than 8,000 people involved in black and evil cases.

On January 31, Hou Yahui, member of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) Inspection Committee and Director of the General Criminal Prosecution Department, was interviewed on the topic of "Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Continuously Promoting Xi Jinping's Rule of Law Thought in Prosecutorial Practice". During the interview, he stated that from January to November 2025, the national procuratorial organs had arrested more than 2000 people in cases involving organized crime and serious offenses, and prosecuted more than 8000 people in such cases. The SPP not only provides guidance on the legal application and case-handling mechanisms for cases involving organized crime and serious offenses, but also emphasizes the role of using cases as educational examples to continuously send a signal to society that serious crimes will be punished severely.
