Informed sources: Nvidia and OpenAI's billion-dollar cooperation agreement put on hold.
According to informed sources, the proposed cooperation agreement between Nvidia and OpenAI to invest up to $10 billion has stalled, as some individuals within Nvidia have questioned the deal. Last September, the two parties announced their cooperation and signed a memorandum of understanding. Nvidia was to provide 10 gigawatts of computing power and investment, while OpenAI promised to lease its chips. Negotiations were expected to be completed in a matter of weeks at the time, but now there has been no substantial progress. Both parties are currently discussing Nvidia's hundreds of billions of dollars equity investment in OpenAI's current round of financing. Huang Renxun stated that the agreement is not binding, and both parties have stated that they look forward to continuing to work together.
