The United States announces the latest sanctions against Iran.

On January 30th local time, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury issued an announcement updating the counter-terrorism and anti-proliferation sanctions list related to Iran, adding multiple senior individuals from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and law enforcement system to the "Specially Designated Nationals List." The announcement indicates that the individuals newly sanctioned include commanders of the Revolutionary Guards in multiple provinces, the head of the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Organization, and senior officials in the law enforcement forces, with many of them facing the risk of "secondary sanctions" simultaneously.
