In 2025, Macau's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 4.7% compared to the previous year.
The data released by the Statistics and Census Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government on the 30th showed that the preliminary figure of Macao's local gross domestic product (GDP) in 2025 was 417.28 billion Macao patacas, with a real annual growth rate of 4.7%, and the economic output recovered to 89.6% of the 2019 level. The data also showed that benefited from various large-scale events held in Macao in the fourth quarter of last year and a series of measures taken by the SAR government to attract tourists, the number of visitors to Macao recorded a significant increase, driving the rapid growth of service exports, and Macao's overall economy continued to develop steadily. The preliminary figure of Macao's local gross domestic product in the fourth quarter of 2025 was 115.39 billion Macao patacas, with a real annual growth rate of 7.6%, and the economic output recovered to 94.1% of the same period in 2019.
