The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from reporters on the achievements of China-UK economic and trade cooperation. The UK is the world's second-largest exporter of services. In recent years, China and the UK have actively promoted cooperation in the field of services trade and achieved good results. By signing two documents, the "Memorandum of Understanding on Initiating a Joint Feasibility Study on China-UK Service Trade Agreement" and the "Memorandum of Understanding on Establishing a Bilateral Service Partnership", China and the UK will start negotiations on the feasibility study of a service trade agreement, and further deepen cooperation in areas such as creative industries, professional services, financial services, and healthcare, making full use of the complementarity and respective advantages in the service sector. In the current international environment of turmoil and complexity, this is a practical action of the two countries in supporting free trade.
