Reporters learned from the press conference that in 2025, Xinjiang's total grain output had increased for eight consecutive years, surpassing 24 million tons for the first time, ranking third in the country in terms of incremental growth and second in terms of growth rate. The per-unit grain output level had been ranked first in the country for two consecutive years, with both the increase in per-unit output and growth rate leading the nation, continuing to lead in contributing to the increase of national grain production. In 2025, Xinjiang's total cotton output also exceeded 6 million tons for the first time, accounting for 92.8% of the national total. The cotton planting area steadily increased, with an increase in per-unit output.
