The Air Transport Association of China organized various airlines to research and formulate the "Public Air Transport Enterprise Flight Seat Reservation Rules" group standard, which was announced to the public today and open for feedback. The rules specify that according to the content of the "draft for feedback," airlines must classify economy class seats into "free selectable seats" and "reserved seats." Among them, operationally essential reserved seats must be based on safety and service rigid requirements, including crew seats, emergency exit restrictions, special passenger protection, etc.; value-added service reserved seats are further divided into equity reservation and paid reservation, with domestic flights explicitly prohibited from offering cash seat selection services; domestic flights must have a minimum of 70% free selectable seats, while international and regional flights must have a minimum of 65% free selectable seats.
