According to reports, OpenAI is raising huge sums of money from some of its biggest tech partners, aiming to raise as much as $100 billion to support the growing demand for its AI. A source revealed that NVIDIA, an existing investor, whose chips power OpenAI's AI models, is currently in talks to invest up to $30 billion. Microsoft, as a long-time supporter, has exclusive rights to sell OpenAI models to cloud customers and is currently in talks for an investment of less than $10 billion. Amazon, as a new investor, is also in talks for an investment well over $10 billion, possibly exceeding $20 billion. Two sources said these investments would supplement existing investor SoftBank, which is also in talks for an investment of up to $30 billion. If this extraordinary fundraising round goes through, it would alleviate concerns among investors about the company's cash burn. Public market investors have recently been skeptical of OpenAI's ability to fulfill its spending commitments to Oracle and Microsoft. The company's valuation prior to this new round of financing could reach $730 billion.
