On Tuesday, the CNX Nifty index of blue-chip stocks on the National Stock Exchange of India closed up 0.51% at 25175.40 points. On the daily chart, it is in a continuous retracement trend since reaching a record high closing of 26328 points on January 2nd and a record high intraday of 26373.20 points on January 5th. The mid-cap stock index in India closed up 0.59%, the S&P BSE Sensex index closed up 0.39%, and the Mumbai Stock Exchange 500 index closed up 0.50%. The Indian Rupee strengthened against the US dollar by 0.25% to 91.7238 Rupees, moving away from the previous trading day's record low of 91.9713 Rupees. The yield on Indian 10-year government bonds rose by 5.6 basis points to 6.719%, rising throughout the day, approaching the highs of 6.753% on March 5, 2025, and 7.618% on June 16, 2022.
