China General Nuclear Power Corporation breaks through 1.1 billion kilowatts in installed capacity.

On January 27, Li Li, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, revealed at the 2026 Annual Media Meeting and the "14th Five-Year Plan" High-Quality Development Results Briefing that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group has approved 16 nuclear power units, started construction on 10 units, and has 20 units under construction. During the same period, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group's clean energy grid-connected electricity exceeded 1.67 trillion kilowatt-hours, and the installed capacity in operation increased from 62 million kilowatts to 113 million kilowatts. Of this, domestically, the installed capacity of new energy in operation has surpassed 70 million kilowatts, and the overseas new energy business has expanded to 18 countries.
