Germany's largest defense company, Rheinmetall, and the German satellite manufacturer OHB have expressed interest in jointly bidding to provide a satellite internet service similar to the American "Starlink" for the German Federal Armed Forces. Three sources familiar with the matter revealed this information to the British Financial Times on the 26th. According to reports, the contract amount could reach several billion euros, aiming to create a secure military-grade satellite communication network for the German military in low earth orbit, becoming the German version of "Starlink".
