The highest dam in Beijing is under construction, which will improve flood control capacity in the Da Shihe River basin.

It was learned from the Beijing Water Authority that recently, construction of the Erdaohe Reservoir located in Fangshan District has started. It is estimated that by the end of 2030, the main project of the reservoir will be completed and will have flood control functions. The dam height will reach 100 meters, making it the tallest dam in Beijing, significantly enhancing the control ability of mountain floodwaters and building a solid flood safety barrier.
