Brazilian meeting struck by lightning, nearly 100 people injured

On January 25th local time, some supporters of former Brazilian President Bolsonaro gathered in the capital Brasilia to hold a rally in support. During the rally, they were struck by lightning. According to the fire department, at least 89 people received medical treatment, with 47 being sent to the hospital and 8 sustaining serious injuries. The fire department stated that some protesters who touched the metal barricade were burned, while others fell and suffered head injuries upon hitting the ground.
