Turkish foreign minister meets with Hamas delegation to discuss the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

According to a source from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, on January 26 local time, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met with a delegation led by Khalil al-Hayya, a member of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, in the capital Ankara. The two sides detailedly assessed the progress and implementation of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, exchanged views on the increasingly severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, and discussed the current situation in the Middle East and other regional issues of common concern. Cavusoglu stated that Turkey will continue to work on multiple diplomatic platforms to defend the rights of the people of Gaza.
