On January 26th, Wang Ya, head of the Foreign Investment Administration of the Ministry of Commerce, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that this year will focus on the service industry, expanding market access and opening areas, orderly expanding autonomous opening in areas such as telecommunications, healthcare, and education, promoting the early implementation of pilot projects, supporting foreign-funded service enterprises to extend the value chain, and achieving professionalization, integration, and digital development. At the same time, further optimize policies to support foreign investment. Implementing measures such as tax credits for profits earned overseas investors in China, encouraging foreign investment in industry catalogs, and impartially supporting foreign-funded enterprises to participate in boosting consumption, government procurement, bidding activities, and helping foreign-funded enterprises to take root and develop in China for the long term.
