Nomura: Samsung Electronics expected to benefit from the growth in demand for AI servers.
Nomura analyst Eon Hwang wrote in a report that Samsung Electro-Mechanics will benefit from the growth in demand for artificial intelligence data servers this year. Hwang forecasted that by 2026, the industrial shipment volume of multilayer ceramic capacitors for this South Korean electronic component manufacturer will increase by about 28%; citing his estimate, he said that the company's MLCC used for AI servers holds a 40% share of the global market. He mentioned that new data server customers may also drive the revenue growth of Samsung Electro-Mechanics' flip chip ball grid array substrate business for AI chips by approximately 30% this year. The analyst pointed out that Samsung Electro-Mechanics management plans to increase the company's server MLCC and substrate production capacity.
