The new "smart" chip can greatly save energy and speed up.
According to the latest issue of the journal "Nature Electronics", a joint research team including the Politecnico di Milano in Italy has developed a new type of "smart" chip with innovative architecture design, which can significantly reduce energy consumption while greatly improving data processing speed. This breakthrough has the potential to overcome the long-standing bottleneck of computing energy consumption. The research represents an important advancement in developing more compact, efficient, and sustainable computing devices, with wide applications in artificial intelligence, large-scale data processing, next-generation wireless communication, as well as robotics, data centers, and 5G/6G networks.
