The amount of funds raised for initial public offerings on the Beijing Stock Exchange exceeded one trillion Yuan for the first time, significantly raising the threshold for allotment.
On January 25, the results of the new stock issuance of Meidele, a new stock announced by the North Stock Exchange, showed that the online effective subscription amount for Meidele's new stock reached a high of 10588.6 billion yuan. This is the first time that the subscription funds for new stocks on the North Stock Exchange have exceeded one trillion yuan, setting a new historical record. "This shows that new stocks on the North Stock Exchange are attracting more and more investors' attention, and cash subscription for new stocks on the North Stock Exchange is becoming one of the important financial management methods among the public," said Zhou Yunnan, a senior investor in New Third Board, to journalists. However, some market participants also expressed concerns to journalists that the scale of funds for primary market subscription on the North Stock Exchange has exceeded one trillion yuan, while the daily turnover of the secondary market has been fluctuating in the range of 200 billion to 300 billion yuan for a long time. The market urgently needs the first and second markets to achieve coordination and beneficial complementarity.
