The former president and chairman of TCL Corporation, Land Zhicheng, has passed away due to illness.

On the evening of January 24, TF Co., Ltd. issued an obituary, stating that the former president and chairman, Lu Zhicheng, passed away in Haikou, Hainan Province on the morning of January 24, 2026, at the age of 78, due to illness. The obituary mentioned that in 1997, Lu Zhicheng participated in and promoted the restructuring and reorganization of Tsinghua University's school-run enterprises, forming Tsinghua TF Co., Ltd. and taking it public. Over the 18 years from 1997 to 2015, he led TF Co., Ltd. in expanding into core businesses serving national strategic sectors such as information technology, public safety, and energy conservation and environmental protection, successfully nurturing and expanding several well-known domestic and global companies including Dahua Technology, Qihoo 360, SMIC, and Inspur.
