Chilean forest fires did not affect cherry supply.
In recent days, forest fires have occurred in various areas of Chile's Biobo and uble regions, attracting international attention to the supply of local agricultural products. Chile is one of the world's major exporters of cherries. Chilean government departments and fruit industry organizations have stated that the current fires have not affected the main cherry-producing areas, and have not had an impact on cherry production and exports. Chile also stated that the progress of the 2026 season as a whole is in line with expectations. Although the export volume has slightly decreased compared to the previous season, this is not related to the forest fires but rather to agricultural cyclical factors, including changes in yield, weather conditions before harvest, and normal adjustments in export logistics arrangements.
