Afghanistan heavy snowfall has resulted in the death of 61 people.

The National Disaster Management Department of Afghanistan issued a statement on the 24th saying that the heavy snowfall and rain from the 21st to the 22nd had resulted in at least 61 deaths and 110 injuries nationwide. The statement also said that the extreme weather had caused damage to 458 houses, and assessment teams are still verifying and evaluating the losses in various areas.
