Special research on the safety production of marine fishing vessels and the standardized management of deep-sea fishing by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

On January 23, Zhang Zhili, member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, presided over a meeting to comprehensively review the situation of marine fishing vessel safety production and standardized management of offshore fisheries since 2025, analyze and assess the prominent issues currently faced, and deploy and promote the work in the next stage. The meeting concluded that coastal areas have solidly carried out special rectification of marine fishing vessel safety production, but there are still weaknesses in some areas. The meeting emphasized the need to urgently enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency in carrying out fishing vessel safety production work; to focus on accident prevention and build a strong safety barrier; to improve supervision efficiency and strengthen territorial responsibility; to persist in making continuous progress and solve the fundamental safety problems at a deeper level. The meeting called for effectively enhancing political positions, further strengthening standardized management of offshore fisheries, strengthening international compliance, cracking down on illegal fishing, resolutely preventing and resolving risks; optimizing regional layout, implementing classified management, persisting in technological innovation, promoting industrial upgrading; expanding multi-lateral and bilateral practical cooperation, and building a win-win cooperation pattern.
