The China Air Transport Association is establishing standards for defining rules on seat reservations for flights.

On January 23rd, the China Air Transport Association issued a statement, stating that in order to further guide airlines to regulate the practice of reserving seats on flights, and better meet the diverse and differentiated seat selection needs of passengers, under the guidance of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the China Air Transport Association is organizing various airlines to research and develop the "Public Air Transport Enterprise Flight Seat Reservation Rules" group standard. It is intended to regulate key aspects such as the types, scope, proportion of reserved seats, and the provision of passenger information. This standard will soon be open for public consultation, and welcomes valuable suggestions from passengers and various sectors of society.
