On January 23, the People's Bank of China Shenzhen Branch and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange Shenzhen Branch held a press conference on the financial operation of Shenzhen in 2025. At the meeting, reporters learned that in 2025, the total cross-border RMB receipts and payments for goods trade in Shenzhen amounted to 1,235.2 billion yuan, an increase of 191.3 billion yuan compared to the previous year, reaching a new high since the business started in 2009. The proportion of RMB settlement in goods trade has continued to increase each quarter, reaching 31% in the fourth quarter, an increase of nearly 5 percentage points compared to the first quarter.
