According to the State Intellectual Property Office, by 2025, China had registered a total of 4.206 million trademarks, completed the examination of 384,000 trademark review cases, and resolved 112,000 objection cases. The average examination period for trademark registration has remained stable at 4 months, with a pass rate of over 97%. Throughout the year, China received 6,718 applications from Chinese applicants for international trademark registration under the Madrid system. By the end of 2025, China had a total of 49.877 million valid registered trademarks domestically. Among the top 5,000 global brands, China's brand value reached 18.1 trillion US dollars, ranking second in the world.
