Apple accuses the European Commission of using "political delaying tactics" to advance fines.
Apple accuses the European Commission of using "political delay tactics" to intentionally delay the implementation of new application policies by the iPhone manufacturer, creating excuses to conduct investigations and impose fines. In response to reports that the European Commission is planning to shut down the third-party app market Setapp, Apple made a statement ahead of time. Setapp is scheduled to close next month. Its developer, MacPaw, stated that the reason for this decision is that the "evolving and complex business terms are not compatible with Setapp's current business model." Third-party app markets are alternative options to Apple's built-in app store, App Store. Currently, Apple generates revenue by charging fees to third-party app stores themselves, as well as the apps and digital goods they list.
