The State Council Food Safety Office and other departments will solicit public opinions on the national standards for prepackaged food.
In order to effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and promote the high-quality development of the industry, the State Council's Food Safety Office has organized the drafting of the national standards for pre-packaged vegetables, as well as the draft for the terminology and classification of pre-packaged vegetables, with the National Health Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation. In collaboration with the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Commerce, a notice on promoting the voluntary disclosure of food processing methods in the catering sector will be drafted and publicly solicited for opinions in the near future. In the next step, relevant departments will further revise and improve the standards based on fully absorbing opinions and suggestions from all parties, and publish them in accordance with procedures.
