London gold and silver prices rarely surpass New York

Traders told reporters that this phenomenon is considered a rare anomaly, as normally the futures prices on the COMEX exchange show a premium due to costs such as holding positions and storage, while a premium for spot prices in London only occurs when there is extreme imbalance in supply and demand.
