In 2025, the scale of China's cosmetics market reached a new high, with domestic cosmetic products accounting for over 57% of the market share.
Recently, the "2025 China Cosmetics Industry Data Release Conference" organized by the China Association of Fragrance Flavor and Cosmetic Industry was successfully held in the Qingpu District of Shanghai. The data released at the conference shows that by 2025, the size of the cosmetics market in China will reach a new high, with a total transaction volume exceeding 1.1 trillion yuan, reaching 1.1042.45 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.83%. Domestic brands continue to lead in competitiveness, with a market share increasing to 57.37%. The rise of domestic brands, channel integration, and market segmentation have become the main themes of industry development. The report shows that the concentration of the cosmetics industry in China has further increased, with the trend towards "boutique" deepening. Over 60% of the top 500 brands maintained positive growth, with over 26,900 brands eliminated throughout the year. Industry competition is becoming more rational, and resources are increasingly gathering towards technology and innovation-oriented enterprises.
