Tesla cuts 1,700 jobs in Berlin.

The number of employees at Tesla's gigafactory outside Berlin has decreased by approximately 1,700 people. Media cited an internal document inviting employees to elect works council representatives and reported that the Gruenheide factory in the southeast of the German capital is Tesla's only production base in Europe, currently employing 10,703 people. Compared to the number provided in a similar document before the works council election in 2024, this number has decreased by 14%. A company spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
