Midday Report: The Science and Technology Innovation Index has surged nearly 3% in half a day, with semiconductor and non-ferrous resource stocks all surging.

The three major indexes rose collectively in the morning session. By the midday break, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.16%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 0.76%, the Growth Enterprise Index rose by 0.85%, the ChiNext Index rose by 0.65%, the Science and Technology Innovation 50 Index rose by 2.96%. The total turnover in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing exceeded 1.6458 trillion yuan in the morning session, a decrease of 219.6 billion yuan from the previous day. Over 2900 individual stocks in the market rose. In terms of sector themes, gold, non-ferrous metals, CPO, semiconductor, robotics, lithium extraction from salt lakes, and 6G concept stocks performed well. Leading the decliners were liquor, coal, retail, tourism and hotel, power, airport and shipping, and power grid equipment sectors. On the market, the semiconductor and AI computing power industry chain boomed, with companies like Montage Technology, NXP Semiconductors, and Allwinner Technology reaching historical highs. Prior to this, Musk's remarks catalyzed demand for AI chips. Non-ferrous resources and gold stocks also rose significantly, with companies like Zhaojin Gold and Hunan Silver hitting limit up. Trump's differing views on imposing tariffs on Greenland could lead to another surge in international gold prices and a new historical high. Additionally, robotics, lithium extraction from salt lakes, and some chemical companies continued to perform well. On the other hand, consumer sectors like liquor and retail experienced a collective pullback, with stocks like Jiugui Liquor and Shuijingfang declining. The power grid equipment sector failed to continue its recent strong performance, with companies like Heshun Electric and Shuangjie Electric dropping in price. Popular stock Liou Stock resumed trading with a limit down, with single trade volume exceeding 10 billion yuan during trading hours.
