The Western Cape police in South Africa said on the 20th that there were two shooting incidents in Cape Town, the legislative capital of South Africa, early that morning, resulting in 6 deaths. The police stated that the Metrorail police station in the outskirts of Cape Town received a report of a shooting incident around 2:50 am on the 20th. At the scene, the police confirmed that 3 women and 1 man were dead, and the details of the incident are currently under investigation.
