In the fourth quarter of Hong Kong, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.8%, unchanged from the previous quarter.

The Census and Statistics Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate from October to December last year was 3.8%, the same as the previous three months. The underemployment rate increased by 0.1 percentage points to 1.7%. During the period, the total number of employed persons was 3,667,000, a decrease of about 2,900 from the previous three months; the total labor force was 3,805,200, a decrease of about 9,100.
