Journalists from the central broadcasting station learned that from January 18th to 19th local time, three shark attacks occurred in succession at three beaches near Sydney. On the evening of the 19th, a surfer in his twenties was attacked by a shark, seriously injuring his leg and has been taken to the hospital. Earlier on the same day at noon, an 11-year-old boy was also attacked by a shark, with his surfboard being damaged, fortunately the boy escaped unharmed. The day before on the 18th in the afternoon, a 12-year-old boy jumped from rocks into the sea outside the shark net and was bitten on both legs by a shark, he is currently in critical condition in the intensive care unit at the Sydney Children's Hospital. The beaches involved have all been closed. Although the species of sharks involved in the three incidents have not been confirmed, it is understood that Sydney Harbour is an important habitat for bull sharks, with most bull sharks coming to the entire harbor, including the coastal beaches of Sydney, in the summer to live and feed.
