The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other departments have issued guidelines on the construction of zero-carbon factories. The guidelines propose conducting carbon footprint analysis on key products to drive collaborative carbon reduction throughout the entire industry chain. It encourages the implementation of zero-carbon supply chain management, the purchase of green and low-carbon products, the use of green and low-carbon logistics, the increase in the proportion of clean transport, and the promotion of energy-saving and carbon reduction measures throughout the industry chain. It also encourages the use of national standards or industry standards such as the "Greenhouse Gas Product Carbon Footprint Quantification Requirements and Guidelines" and group standards recommended by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments to conduct product carbon footprint analysis, identify key carbon emission points throughout the product lifecycle, and continuously improve the product carbon footprint based on the calculation results.
