A traffic accident occurred in Jiexiu City, Shanxi Province, resulting in five deaths.

The journalist learned from the office of Jiexiu City Committee in Shanxi Province that at around 4 a.m. on January 18, 2026, Jiexiu City Fire Brigade reported a two-car collision near Zhanglan Town in Jiexiu City, with initial on-site investigation confirming 5 fatalities. The cause of the accident is currently under further investigation.
