The Ministry of Transport attaches great importance to the prevention and response work of this round of low temperature rain, snow and ice weather, and has consulted and assessed with the meteorological department, strengthened the dynamic monitoring of the road network, deployed the transportation system to make every effort to prevent and respond, and coordinated with the transportation authorities in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Shandong, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Guizhou, Chongqing and other places to urge all regions to closely follow the meteorological warnings, strengthen meteorological consultations and assessments, enhance proactive defense, provide travel guidance, scientifically pre-position forces, timely remove ice and snow, strictly be on duty, timely submit information, and fully ensure the safe, smooth and orderly operation of the industry. At present, the overall operation of transportation in the country is stable and orderly, and there have been no long-distance congestions or situations of people and vehicles being stranded due to the cold wave and snowfall.
