Modern car maker plans to introduce its upscale brand into the Chinese market.

On January 13th, Zhang Jianyong, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BAIC Group, held talks with Jose Munoz, the CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, who was visiting Beijing. Both sides reached multiple agreements to support the development of Beijing Hyundai. Jose expressed that the Chinese market has always been the core of their global strategy, and they will continue to increase investment and development in the Chinese market. It was introduced that Hyundai will further enhance technical and personnel support, and introduce their high-end brands to the Chinese market. By 2025, Hyundai aims to achieve a global sales volume of over 7.27 million units, while Beijing Hyundai's annual sales reached 210,000 units. According to Beijing Hyundai's "Smart Starting 2030 Plan" previously released, they plan to launch 20 new models in the next 4-5 years, with a goal of selling 500,000 units annually.
