Canada will allocate an annual quota of 49,000 electric vehicles to China, enjoying a Most Favored Nation tariff rate of 6.1% within the quota, with the quota increasing annually by a certain percentage. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau stated at a China-Canada trade and investment dinner on the evening of the 16th that these arrangements will bring more benefits to the people of Canada. He expressed that China's strength in the field of electric vehicles is recognized worldwide, with superior cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency, and innovation. To establish a competitive domestic electric vehicle industry, Canada plans to learn from and collaborate with China to jointly build a supply chain. This will fully unleash the potential for cooperation between the two countries and reduce consumption costs for the people of Canada.
